2016 - 2017
The Marine Trades Association of NJ (MTA/NJ) Offers Scholarship:
An Educational Scholarship is being offered for the 2017-2018 school year by the Marine Trades Association of NJ (MTA/NJ). This is a half scholarship ($9,562.50) for the Marine Service Technology Program at Automotive Training Center in Pennsylvania. Marine technicians continue to be in high demand and there are many full-time year-round job opportunities available. John S. Martinez Scholarship for Hispanic High School Students:
The National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) is pleased to announce the NHCSL-Comcast Scholarship Initiative for Hispanic High School Students. This scholarship initiative is part of NJCSL's John S. Martinez Leadership Scholarship Fund. The application deadline is March 24, 2017. JDRF Offers Scholarship for Student with Diabetes:
The South Jersey Chapter of JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is awarding a $1000 scholarship to a Type 1 Diabetic maintaining a 3.5 GPA and participating in one or more sports. STARS Foundation/Upsilon Delta Omega Scholarship:
The STARS Foundation/Upsilon Delta Omega is awarding three $1500 scholarships to female, African-American seniors demonstrating a 3.0 GPA and leadership qualities. Horizons Technology Scholars Program:
The Horizon Scholarship supports 5 outstanding high school students in their pursuit to become leaders in technology. The program provides immersive software engineering and web/mobile development courses geared towards high-achieving high school students. Students need not have a computer science background! The Horizon curriculum, developed by ex-Salesforce and Optimizable engineers alongside PhDs in computer science, is designed to teach students how to build web, mobile, and desktop applications. The 2017 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college, or career school. ETS Employees' Community Action Fund (ECAF) Scholarship Program:

New Jersey Schoolwomen's Scholarship:
Female seniors who attend a New Jersey high school and are New Jersey residents and will pursue a degree in education are invited to apply for the New Jersey Schoolwomen's Scholarship. This year three scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, and two educational awards in the amount of $500, will be awarded to female graduates who intend to pursue a career in the field of education. The Firstrust/Samuel Green Scholarship is available to any senior, and an essay is required. Scholarships totaling $50,000 are available, with first prize being $10,000. 2017 Black History Month Contest:
The Minorities in the Profession Section of the New Jersey Bar Association offers the Black History Month Contest. The contest is open to any New Jersey high school student (grades 9 -12). The New Jersey State Elks Special Children's Committee is offering the Special Children's Scholarship Awards, which are two four-year scholarships (one female, one male) worth up to $2500 per year. NCWIT -- Aspirations Awards for Females in grades 9-12:
The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors high school women who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. This multi-tiered competition includes recognition at the national and local levels, serving all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and all U.S. overseas military bases. Service-Learning Scholars at RCBC:
The Service-Learning Program at Rowan College at Burlington County is currently seeking applications for Service-Learning Scholars for 2016 - 2017! Service-Learning Scholars provides an opportunity for students to become leaders in campus and community engagement through a guided service-learning experience. Scholars commit to one year in the program and participate in a minimum of 200 hours of service. For their efforts, Scholars earn a $1,000 scholarship to help support their educational goals at Rowan College at Burlington County.
